The delegation of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies visited the EUI and Palazzo Buontalenti, future headquarters of the STG.
On 13 June 2019 the President of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee Marta Grande, deputy Yana Chiara Ehm and deputy Ivan Scalfarotto visited the European University Institute.
The delegation took part in a visit of the Historical Archives of the European Union with Director Dieter Schlenker, followed by a guided tour of the monumental complex of Villa Salviati led by Laura Bechi.
During the working lunch, President Renaud Dehousse and Secretary General Vincenzo Grassi presented the EUI, while STG Executive Director Fabrizio Tassinari spoke about the School of Transnational Governance and its activities.
In the afternoon, the delegation and EUI members moved downtown in Florence, where they joined a guided visit of Palazzo Buontalenti. The historic building located in the city centre is currently undergoing renovation works, and will become the headquarters of the School of Transnational Governance in 2020.
