Luther-King Okunade Fasehun
Fellowship period: 7 January 2019 - 7 July 2019
Luther-King Fasehun is a medical doctor with expertise in global public health, healthcare management, and policy, especially in the sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and nutrition (SRMNCAH+N) continuum. His experience spans the private and public health sectors, including philanthropy, and, in 2014, he led separate, national-level analyses on two landmark issues: the potential of the private sector to improve family planning, for the UN Foundation; and the Every Newborn Action Plan (ENAP), for the WHO and UNICEF. Dr Fasehun earned his medical degree at the University of Lagos, and graduated with a Master’s degree (with distinction) at the SDA Bocconi. Here at the European University Institute, he will be on leave from his Director of Policy position at Four ACES Consulting Services Ltd, working to build a policy advocacy group for maternal and newborn health across sub-Saharan Africa, emphasising quality and equitable maternal health services.
