 Malin Strand

Malin Strand is an industry and policy expert focusing on the transition to a sustainable society with net-zero emissions. Since 2017 Malin has been one of 100 Future Energy Leaders, a global program by the World Energy Council. Previously, she has been working as a policy advisor in the Swedish parliament, and has a background in engineering.

Currently, she is working as a policy strategist at the strategic initiative Fossil Free Sweden at the Government Offices of Sweden. Malin develops and implements methods that speed up climate action in industry and transport sectors while at the same time increase their competitiveness.

As an STG Policy Leader Fellow, Malin will further explore methods for speeding up climate action in industry, as well as find strategies for states to support and share risk in the investments needed for implementation.
