Zoabi Haneen

Zoabi Haneen is a Palestinian with Israeli citizenship.

She has been a member of the Israeli Knesset since 2009, the first Palestinian woman representing an Arab party, NDA, the National Democratic Assembly, which struggles for the rights of my people for dignity, justice and equality. 

The international dimension of the Palestinian cause has motivated her as a politician and as a Knesset member.
In 2000-2009 she was the joint founder and CEO of I’lam – the Arab Center for Media Freedom, Development and Research, founded in 2000 by a group of Palestinian intellectuals and journalists active in the fields of civil society, media and research.
Prior to 2000, she has worked in education, teaching and developing educational materials in the filed of media studies at high school and college level.

She holds an MA in Media Studies from HUJI and a BA in Psychology and Philosophy from Haifa University.
