Linde Zuidema

Linde Zuidema coordinates the climate and energy work of Fern, a non governmental organisation that influences EU policies that impact forests and forest peoples globally.

At Fern, she has been instrumental in designing and implementing an advocacy strategy to ensure bioenergy policies lead to greenhouse gas savings and do not damage forests. During her time as Policy Leader Fellow at the EUI, Linde conducted a research on EU state aid rules in the field of bioenergy. Following the fellowship, Linde has received a grant award from the European Climate Foundation to extend her time at the STG for an additional two months until 30 April 2020.

Before joining Fern in 2013, Linde has worked as a programme leader at the European Policy Centre and as policy advisor and researcher for ClientEarth, the European Parliament and the Council of Europe. Linde has started her career as a consultant in the private sector. She has an academic background in law and political sciences.
