Topic: Energy Policy Collaboration between EU and Turkey.

Özge Mercan has strong academic background combined with Engineering, MBA and International and European Energy Law.

She worked as finance and credits manager at the largest state-owned natural gas company (BOTAS) in Turkey for five years. She actively participated various energy supply security projects such as underground gas storage projects (Salt Lake and Silivri), TANAP (Trans Anatolian Pipeline Project) and TurkStream Project in Turkey. During her professional career, she has been engaged with energy policies, which play fundamental role for the governments to design energy sector and energy investment plans.

At the EUI, she will focus on implementation of ‘’Clean Energy for all Europeans’’ package in EU Member States, its reflection on investment decisions in Turkey and potential collaborations between EU and Turkey under this package to achieve the goals of Paris Agreement and Kyoto Protocol.
